In July of 2020 we installed a Tamko Heritage Architectural shingle roof system in Weathered Wood. With Hurricane Ida the following August this homeowner did not experience any leaks, missing shingles or issues with her roof. Four years later her roof still looks great and has protected her home through Hurricanes, high winds, and even 6” of snow!
This customer was referred to us by her Realtor. To help get this home ready for its new family we installed CertainTeed Landmark Weather Wood Architectural shingle roof system including CertainTeed’s premium Shadow Ridge hip and ridge cap shingles.
For this replacement we removed the old rusted drip edge and went back with new color coated white drip edge, removed the valley metal and installed Ice & Water shield with California woven valleys, upgraded to 35 year manufacturer warrantied pipe boots and an energy saving solar panel power vent. This home sustained damage during Hurricane Ida. After additional documentation was submitted to the homeowner’s insurance company, we were able to make sure the entire roof replacement was covered in the claim. This customer’s home sustained tornado damage and a claim needed to be filed. In the meantime, we installed synthetic underlayment in the areas where shingles and ridge caps were missing or wind lifted to prevent any additional damage. We met the adjuster for the inspection and made sure all damages at the property were noted. With approval for a full roof replacement and reimbursement for the temporary repairs we installed a new Tamko Heritage Architectural shingle roof in Weathered Wood.
